The Insurance Institute of Carlisle Annual Dinner
Myself and some of my colleagues were delighted to attend 
The Insurance Institute of Carlisle's annual dinner on Friday night at the Crown and Mitre.
The dinner was for 7.30 so we met in the hotel bar for a drink beforehand before going through to the posh ballroom for a beautiful 3 course dinner.
We were then entertained by a speech from the President Mike Clementson and the guest speaker, a professional comedian Johnnie Casson who kept our attention with their witty tales.
All of our names were then put into a box to win from a selection of prizes where 3 from our table of 10 won some great prizes. The President then kept up their tradition of inviting guests to their suite (which has now moved to the bar) where we were further entertained by a card enthusiast Kevin Stairmand from H&H Insurance Brokers.
All in all, we all had a great night with flowing wine and some interesting conversation!
